On this school holiday, the library is hosting the “Scopes in the City” program from the Adler Planetarium! We will have a scope set up in the library parking lot for some solar viewing FUN ahead of the total solar eclipse on April 8th. Come in any time between 1:00 p.m.and 3:00 p.m. for viewing the sun.
FUN Suggested Activity: Sun Prints – Use the sun to make your own simple photo prints using everyday objects like coins, buttons, keys or leaves. Use a sheet of thick paper and place the object on it and leave it in the sun for a few days. When the paper looks faded, remove the object to see the shape left behind!
