Birth thru Grade 12th
Family Reading Night is an annual statewide event held the third Thursday in November to encourage families to spend quality time reading together. The Family Reading Night this year is on November 17, 2022.
The Youth Services Department at Prairie Trails Library will be having a Reading Challenge during the month of November to promote Family Reading Night.
To participate, register at the reference desk, pick up a Reading Log and a bag of popcorn!
A maximum of 50 participants will be registered for this reading challenge.
Use the log to keep track of the books that you are reading. The log can be picked up starting October 24th.. Submit your Reading Log by November 30th to win a useful prize to utilize at school.
Reading Requirements: Birth thru Grade 4th: 8 Books
Grade 5th thru 12th: 3 Books
Please ask a youth services reference staff for assistance in making selections for your reading requirements!
Registration starts Monday, October 24th and ends on Friday, November 25.
Please submit completed Reading Logs starting November 1st. Logs are due by November 30.
