With music, rare photographs, and insider stories, author John F. Lyons takes us back to the 1960s and to one of the most exciting eras in Chicago music history. During that decade, more people were involved in making music in the Windy City and its suburbs than at any other time in the city’s history. A multitude of recording studios, night clubs, record labels, and radio stations supported a variety of innovative and exciting musical forms, from electric blues to smooth soul, and from contemporary folk to garage rock, that made Chicago the music capital of the world. Presented by Dr. John F. Lyons.
