Day of the Dead (also known as Dia De Los Muertos) is a two day Mexican holiday on November 1st and 2nd that honors our ancestors who have passed away. It is a day our passed loved ones visit us in spirit. Many people create offering tables (ofrendas) with food, art, and family photos of passed on loved ones. We here at Prairie Trails Library have created a program for you to create your own Calavera (skull) sun catcher. You can hang it on your window or you can place it on your own ofrenda to remember your loved ones.
